Paying in full or by instalments

For parentsApp version 11.8.197Updated 27 September 2026

For team registrations the club may let you spread the season fee over monthly payments. Academy fees are paid one term at a time, in full.

Choosing how to pay

On the Fees step (or when you Resume Payment), choose either:

  • Pay in full — one payment now.
  • Monthly instalments — equal monthly payments by card, up to the club's deadline for the season. The page shows how many payments and roughly how much each one is. There may be a small admin charge for paying monthly, which is shown before you pay.

The monthly option only appears while there's time left before the club's deadline for the season. The later in the season you register, the fewer monthly payments there are. After the deadline, the fee is paid in full.

How the monthly plan works

  • The first payment is taken when you complete the Stripe payment page. The rest are taken automatically each month from the same card.
  • Each payment is a whole number of pence. Any few pence left over are added to the first payment, so the plan adds up to exactly the fee.
  • Some teams include a deposit (for example for kit). It's added to the first payment, and the rest is spread over the monthly payments.
  • The plan stops by itself once the full amount has been paid.
  • If the club refunds part of what you've paid, the plan carries on. It only stops if everything you've paid is refunded.
  • If the club stops your plan early, no more payments are taken from your card, and anything still to pay is still owed. The club emails you to say so, and may send you a Balance to pay link, or you can pay the club directly.

You can see every payment, and how many are left, on your My Payments page. See Your payments page.

Changing card or if a payment fails

If your child changes team and the fee changes, the club can adjust your remaining monthly payments. They'll email you the new amounts.
